RNJet Inc. is seeking a skilled

Embedded Hardware / Board Designer

to join our engineering team at our

Richmond Hill facility

. This is an

on-site position

requiring hands-on involvement in embedded board and hardware design. The ideal candidate has strong experience with microcontrollers and microprocessors and is comfortable working closely with prototypes, testing, and production hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop embedded hardware boards (

schematics and PCB layouts*)
Select and integrate microcontrollers and microprocessors based on system requirements Create, modify, and review designs using

OrCAD

Perform board bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation on-site Collaborate with firmware and system engineers for hardware-software integration Optimize designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and manufacturing files Support troubleshooting and improvements during development and production

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in embedded hardware and board design Expert knowledge of

microcontrollers and microprocessors

Strong proficiency in

OrCAD

Solid understanding of power supplies, signal integrity, and communication protocols (UART, SPI, IC, etc.) Experience with hands-on debugging and testing Ability to work independently on-site in Richmond Hill

Salary & Growth:

C$25 - C$28 per hour

, based on expertise and abilities Salary increase after the

first successful project
