Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Handyman to perform general maintenance and repair duties across the plaza. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a wide range of tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general upkeep to ensure the property remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.

This person would work approximately

four hours a day

, without a dedicated office.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning garbage and maintaining common areas. Ensuring overall property upkeep. Addressing any actionable items or tenant issues. Perform routine inspections of common areas and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs. Carry out minor electrical repairs (e.g., replacing lights, switches, fuses). Perform plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, or replacing fixtures. Handle minor carpentry work, including door adjustments, furniture repair, or signage installation. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of public/common areas, parking lots, and restrooms. Coordinate with contractors and service providers for larger repairs or scheduled maintenance. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from plaza tenants or management. Monitor and maintain building systems and equipment as needed. Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good condition. When primary tasks are complete, perform additional duties such as deep cleaning, filling potholes, or changing lights to LED. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy objects when required. Good communication and problem-solving skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Availability to respond to emergencies outside normal working hours (as needed).

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification or vocational training in any technical trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC). Previous experience in a commercial or retail environment.

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
