Hotel: Hotel BLU Position: Guest Services Supervisor As member of Hotel BLU Vancouver Front Office team, the Guest Services Supervisor(GSS) plays a key role in attending to the immediate needs of each guest, prior their arrival at the hotel, during their stay and through to their final departure. In addition the GSS will act as the immediate assistant to the Guest Services Manager and in such role, he/she/they will provide operational and training support in all aspects of the Front Office operation. \xc2\xb7 Daily organization, monitor and control of the activities of the Front Desk Agents \xc2\xb7 Ensures completion of all necessary forms and documentation throughout the shifts \xc2\xb7 Ensures friendly and professional service is offered to all incoming, in-house and departing guests \xc2\xb7 Ensures guests needs are fulfilled and their stay is as pleasurable as possible \xc2\xb7 Assists with resolution of guests problems and complaints as needed \xc2\xb7 Works in a team environment toward a common goal of proving the highest guest satisfaction. Staying true to Hotel BLU company values \xc2\xb7 Assists the Guest Services Manager when required, in areas such as: Revenue Management; Customer Relationship Management; Staff Management; Communication; Cash Management Qualifications \xc2\xb7 Positive, professional, \xe2\x80\x9c can do \xe2\x80\x9c attitude, being a team player is a must \xc2\xb7 Effective decision making to ensure operational integrity and safety \xc2\xb7 Being able to \xe2\x80\x9c Take Ownership of the situation/task \xe2\x80\x9c at hand \xc2\xb7 Demonstrate ability to work with maximum accuracy, maintaining a keen sense of urgency at all times \xc2\xb7 Opera experience is an asset \xc2\xb7 Being able to work and be flexible with other duties as assigned \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Vancouver is required as this position requires assisting guests with attractions, restaurants, city tours and transportation needs as well as special requests
  • Excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions
Qualification Standards \xc2\xb7 Experience: Minimum of 2 year previous experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a luxury to ultra-luxury hotel environment. Minimum of three years of hospitality industry experience. \xc2\xb7 Visa Requirements: Proof of eligibility to work in Canada is required. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $24.00 per hour Benefits:
