The General Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall business. Working closely with all members of the Finance Team, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Preparing and delivering monthly income statements and balance sheets
• Preparing month-end adjusting journal entries, including accruals, revaluations, and cost re-allocations.
• Review and analyze P&L and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax filing, including corporate tax payments.
• Provide backup support to the Junior Accountant for cash reconciliations.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting or similar. CPA designation or pursuing is preferred.
• 2-3 years related experience.
• Advanced excel skills, ERP and strong computer skills are required.
• Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Initiative-taker who can work independently and interface with all relevant internal teams and external business partners as needed.
