Job Description


Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a Gatekeeper to join our team in Moncton, NB This position is responsible for effectively and efficiently controlling the flow of traffic in and out of the terminal yard(s) through operation of the gate control system, including the communication of data/information to applicable departments Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet inbound and outbound drivers at gates
  • Always obtain the driver\'s tractor and trailer number
  • Ask probing questions regarding the customer requirements for the delivery, refer to checklist for specific information related to the freight
  • Ensure loads have correct seals
  • Dispatch support when required
  • Based upon customer systems and other sources, prepare paperwork for inbound deliveries / freight
  • Additional duties as assigned including but not limited to Loading Truck and Data entry work

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to process and communicate information timely
  • Self-starter/self-motivated
  • Analytical decision making
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to adapt to ever changing priorities and conditions
Working Conditions:
  • Fast paced
  • High volumes of electronic correspondence, i.e., satellite, phone, email
  • High volumes of Customer and Driver correspondence
