We are currently seeking a FXMM Settlements - Analyst for a contract role with one of our clients in Montreal, QC. Please apply you would be interested and available for it.

MISSION AND OBJECTIVES The FXMM Team provides solutions to Client needs on the FXMM activity and manages the operational risk in respect of the regulatory constraints. We execute administrative and support activities related to settlements, record maintenance, and accounting reconciliation. We relate daily with many different stakeholders: Clients, Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, IT, Risk, Accounting.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process the daily FX MM transactions (events, nettings, validity of SSIs on transactions, chasing clients to confirm nettings and SSIs, cash settlements)
  • Handle the treasury announcements of FXMM transactions within the announcement and payment cut off times
  • Process all the corporate term deposits and interbank loans/deposits initiated by ALM Treasury within the US branches and Canada.
  • Manual payments within the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines
  • Reconciliation of accounting discrepancies
  • Management of announcements anomalies
  • Perform the Follow The Sun process with global FX Back Offices
  • Perform the Follow The Sun process with IRD Investigations team
  • Handle all the settlement-related requests with Internal & External Clients :
  • Answer all Clients requests received by phone or e-mail
  • Analyze and escalate any payment issues to Middle/Front Office teams or Management
  • Direct all post settlement queries to the Investigations team

  • Netting rules management
  • Set up and maintain all counterparty instructions
\xe2\x80\x8b * Continuous Improvement Process :
  • Production of daily KPI
  • Participation to the daily/weekly meetings
  • Take an active part in process reviews to ensure that efficiencies are maximized whilst maintaining a rigorous level of control
REQUIREMENTS TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably Finance majors, or a related field
  • Previous exposure to Derivatives, FX or Commodities settlements would be an advantage
  • Experience of working in an Operations department or similar environment is a plus
SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS
  • Bilingual English & French, Spanish an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written and skills
  • Rigorous, self-disciplined, paying attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure due to cut-off times and volumes
  • Initiative, root cause analysis and problem solving skills (unresolved issues cannot be left).
  • Proactive team player
  • Proficient in Client Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of SWIFT message formats
  • Working hours : 35 hours per week between 8AM and 7:00PM
  • Coverage of international FX activities requires to work during Canadian public holidays
