JOB SUMMARY



Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer / Executive Director, the Fundraising Manager is a full-time leadership role responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing all fundraising strategies and events for Port Cares. This position plays a critical role in generating revenue to support the agency's wide range of charity funded programs and services.

Working collaboratively with the management team and the Outreach Committee of the board, the Fundraising Manager will design comprehensive fundraising plans and budgets aligned with Port Cares' strategic goals. They will lead the implementation of these initiatives to ensure successful fundraising outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be a relationship-builder, focused on cultivating and maintaining strong partnerships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors, and have a keen business sense with marketing experience. As a key ambassador for Port Cares, the Fundraising Manager will represent the organization with professionalism, integrity, and passion for its mission.

JOB DESCRIPTION



Develop and execute strategic fundraising plans that support the organization's long-term objectives and align with the overall strategic plan Oversee the development and implementation of annual fundraising initiatives, including planned events, 5050 raffles, general community programs, etc. Coordinate closely with the Corporate Services to align revenue goals with budgetary needs, track grant funding, and meet reporting obligations Establish and uphold donor recognition standards and fundraising policies aligned with industry best practices and ethical guidelines Develop and maintain donor stewardship practices that prioritize relationship-building and long-term engagement Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team Prepare and present regular fundraising updates to the CEO, including performance metrics and projections toward annual targets Collaborate with local, provincial and federal partners, such as Food Banks Canada, to identify and pursue shared fundraising opportunities Assist with grant applications and fundraising proposals alongside the other leaders or Port Cares Lead agency tours, give presentations, and engage in outreach activities to raise awareness and foster community support Works alongside the Reach out Centre Supervisor and the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure adequate manpower for implementing and operating events Work and train students and volunteers Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED



10 years of marketing and fundraising experience Post-secondary education in fundraising, marketing and public relations CFRE designation is an asset Proficient in using fundraising customer relationship software, such as DonorPerfect Deep understanding and knowledge of donor stewardship best practices and fundraising ethics Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationship with donors, board members, and community leaders Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to attend events, fundraisers, and occasional meetings as needed Ability to work independently, and in part of a greater team Ability to work independently, under pressure and to handle multiple projects simultaneously Experience using Adobe Acrobat, Canva and MS Suite is an asset Provide own transportation and carry a valid driver's license is required

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year

Experience:

50% (preferred)
Work Location: In person
