Surrey Urban Mission Society (SUMS) is a Christian mission based in Surrey, BC, dedicated to providing essential services such as shelter, hygiene, and meals. Role Summary
The Fundraising Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Surrey-Whalley area. This position is responsible for managing relationships with major donors, coordinating annual giving campaigns, and developing philanthropic initiatives, including a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the organization. Daily tasks include communicating with donors, planning and executing fundraising events, and collaborating with the team to meet fundraising goals. The role oversees one direct report and reports to the CEO, operating within a matrix reporting model alongside the Communications department.
Qualifications
:
Experience with major donors and annual giving
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with charities and philanthropic organizations
Knowledge of philanthropy and nonprofit operations
Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or related field
Experience using relevant software, including Keela
Certified Fund-Raising Executive certification with CRFE International is a strong preference
Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus

Salary starting at $67,000 - $75,000 based on experience or an opportunity for an alternative arrangement of base pay plus commission
