Position: Full-Time Senior (Sr.) Program ManagerLocation: Quesnel, BCHours: 35 hours/week, including provision of on-call supportSalary: $58,000 per year*Proof of full vaccination status is requiredJob Summary: Axis Family Resources Ltd. is recruiting a Full Time Sr. Program Manager for our Specialized Supportive Housing in Quesnel BC. The Sr. Program Manager will manage the Specialized Supportive Housing for children, youth, and adults in in programs as well as provide direction to ensure that the goals and objectives of the organization are met. Additionally, the Sr. Program Manager will provide planning for coordination, administration of programs, and participate in the afterhours and on-call rotation. The Sr. Program Manager will be responsible for talent management such as participation in recruitment, performance management, supervision of program coordinators, scheduling, and approval of time entry on IBEX system. The successful candidate will have experience leading, the ability to adapt to changes, work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate grit, professionalism, and have a positive attitude.   • A diploma in Community Services, Human Services, or other related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' related work experience; Direct program delivery experience in the community social services sector with a demonstrated working knowledge of community-based programs and related provincial and community support is preferred
  • Minimum 1-year related supervisory experience
  • Experience working with at-risk youth is an asset
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Class 5 BC Drivers License with a clean driving record
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
  • Effective written and verbal communication as well as proficient computer literacy

Working Conditions:
  • The vulnerable population that we serve come from various backgrounds, have complex needs and require a high level of care, support, and supervision. The individuals supported may have multiple diagnoses, may come from unstable family backgrounds, been exposed to a range of risks including physical, sexual, emotional, drug and alcohol abuse as well as neglect, family violence and trauma.
  • The successful applicant must be willing to work irregular hours as required. Business hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm; however, the Sr. Program Manager hours may take place outside of these hours, including being part of the on-call rotation

  • A moderate level of physical fitness is an asset as direct delivery of program activities may involve standing, walking, exercising with the youth or adult, bending, lifting, etc.
