Overview:

Join our team as a Temporary Full-Time Security Guard supporting Patient Watch operations at the University Health Network - West Park Healthcare.

You'll play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors by monitoring patient activity, responding to incidents, and ensuring a calm and controlled atmosphere within the facility.

This is a meaningful opportunity for professionals with strong observation skills and a passion for public safety, particularly within healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

Monitor patients under observation to ensure safety and compliance with hospital policies. Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to prevent incidents or unauthorized activities. Provide clear and professional communication to hospital staff, visitors, and patients. Respond promptly to calls, alarms, and emergency situations as directed. Complete detailed and accurate reports on daily activities and incidents. Maintain a strong presence to deter potential safety risks and foster a secure environment.

Requirements:

Valid Security License for the province of Ontario Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved vendor) Proof of two-dose COVID-19 vaccination Immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and a two-step TB skin test Fluency in English (oral and written) Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have:

Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital security setting Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
