Full Time (Permanent) Position at Woodlea Daycare

Red Deer Child Care is currently seeking a positive and energetic individual to fill a maternity leave position at Woodlea Childcare. The successful candidate will be required to work in partnership with other staff as a team and to demonstrate exemplary child/staff interactions. At Woodlea we offer emergent programming with a focus on developing empathy and an understanding of citizenship with the children. A strong understanding of Flight will be considered an asset. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible in shifts and able to work confidently with a variety of age groups.

Applicants must possess:

- Child Development Assistant (minimum) designate and a commitment to continue their professional development through workshops.

- Patient, Flexible and positive attitude.

- Act as a positive role model for others, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.

- Ability to adapt under intense situations and to act in a proactive manner, maintaining a gentle and consistent environment.

- Willingness to commit to a team atmosphere.

- Certification in First Aid, Criminal record, and Child Intervention checks.

As a program included in the Provincial Childcare Agreement there is wage subsidy included, based on Child Care Certification, in addition to the base wage offered by the program.
