Summary:

Title: Full Stack Java/Angular Developer

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hybrid (2 days in office: Mondays + one other, TBD)

Hours: 9am-5pm with some flexibility .

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Target Start Date: August 2023

About this Role:

The Full Stack Developer plays an integral role in enabling customers to digitally apply for TD retail products such as credit cards, bank accounts, loans and other personal banking products, without having to visit a branch.

Core Tasks - In this job, you will:
  • Transform business requirements and research into high quality apps that meet performance goals
  • Rigorously build applications (using the tools mentioned below) and test them using Chrome
  • Perform systems administration: monitor, configure, back-up, authenticate, tune
  • Aim for defect-free programming, create and maintain quality code, provide support during testing cycles
  • Engage in peer code reviews
  • Contribute to project plans, estimations and status updates
General Skills and Abilities - You are:
  • Able to work collaboratively and positively with your teammates to achieve shared goals- this role relies on giving and receiving input/feedback/help to and from your peers
  • Strongly motivated to develop your ability to code and learn to use new digital tools and technologies
  • Interested in taking on challenges and letting others help you in order to develop your skills
  • Able to communicate clearly with peers and supervisors on a regular basis (see core tasks above)
Digital/Technical Skills & Tools - You:
  • Are able to write and debug java code at an intermediate level*
  • Are able to write and debug angular code at an intermediate level*
  • Have experience (academic, professional, or personal) using integrated development tools. Examples include but are not limited to:
  • Eclipse
  • MS Code
  • IntelliJ
  • Atom
  • Netbeans
  • Microsoft Office Suite
Education/Knowledge - You:
  • Have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field, or a technical certificate related to development
Experience - You:
  • Have 2 years experience (this can be professional, academic, or personal) of in/with:
  • Full-stack development
  • AngularJS and Java
  • Building web applications
