Job Summary

Customer-focused Cashiers serve as the face of our store. The applicant who fills this position will be responsible for knowing current promotions, greeting customers professionally and politely, and being friendly to everyone who enters the store.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and an ability to work effectively in their duties. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing a positive shopping experience for our customers by efficiently handling transactions, assisting with merchandising efforts, and maintaining a running knowledge of products and offerings. Your ability to communicate effectively and work independently will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities

Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and addressing their needs Handle cash and credit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed Assist in merchandising products to enhance store presentation and drive sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory levels and customer feedback Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate transaction processing Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with diverse customers Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a busy environment Organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and assist in inventory management An understanding of Atlantic Lottery transactions is beneficial

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.70 per hour
