Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Front-End Cashier to join Dryden Pharmacy Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling cash transactions, greeting customers, selling lottery tickets, assisting with purchasing and receiving inventory, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness in the front store area, and checking product expiry dates throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Transactions

Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service. Operate cash register and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately. Sell lottery tickets and ensure compliance with lottery regulations. Answer customer inquiries and assist with locating products.

Inventory & Merchandising

Assist with purchasing and receiving inventory deliveries. Stock shelves and ensure products are displayed neatly and correctly. Monitor and rotate stock to ensure older items are sold first. Check expiry dates of all products across the store and remove expired items.

Store Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front store area.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous cashier or retail experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math skills and comfort with handling cash and POS systems.
