As a key member of the finance team, this role will be based at the plant and will work closely with, the Operations Site Manager and other plant managers and have a dotted line to the Senior Director of Finance. This hands-on role will be supported by a Financial Analyst and be part of a Finance team located at Brampton. Our Sustainability Commitment

• All analysis related to the Manufacturing Operations such as analysis of production reporting, labor variance analysis, material usage variance, SLOB analysis, plant and warehouse expense analysis.

• Provide periodic reports with analysis and commentary including the operational information required for the monthly financial package, and the monthly KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.

• Work closely with the operations managers on weekly updates to the forecasts, including highlights and commentaries on current performance developments and emerging future trends.

• Work closely with the finance team during month end to ensure that all operational activities have been properly accounted for and recorded, and all accruals are done in accordance with GAAP.

• Provide monthly accrual entries for Utilities and Freight.

• Review and approve all Capital requests and ensure that they meet the guidelines, that financial information and assumptions are presented accurately, and payback calculations are validated.

• Lead the annual budget process for Operations and work closely with the Financial Controller to calculate annual rates for labour and overhead, raw material cost updates, and plant expense budgets.

• Provide backup for other Managerial activities as needed.

• Ensure that a working system of internal controls is utilized to maintain the integrity of the accounting system and be SOX compliant.

What We Need From You

• CPA certification.
• Minimum 5 years in a plant environment with verifiable evidence of experience that is consistent with the requirements of this role.
• Experience with CMS or other fully integrated ERP system.
• Hands on, detail oriented, deadline driven, and ability to respond quickly.
• Advanced Excel report creation capabilities, and overall strong system skills.
• Team player with above average oral/written communication.
