Job Description

Our client, a US listed company in Vancouver is looking for an FP& A Manager, partnerships and alliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis activities around external vendor spend and internal FTE time to support quarterly invoice preparation
  • Work closely with Business Development to understand achievement of milestone/royalty revenues
  • Review time reporting with project leaders to ensure timely accuracy
  • Work closely with FP& A to understand forecasted cross charging of external expenses, internal FTE time, and revenue reimbursement based on executed contractual agreements
  • Partner with Director of FP& A and T& MO leadership to understanding costing of commercial manufacturing runs and fully burdened manufacturing cost to understand transfer pricing to external partners
  • Lead reporting and reconciliation of manufacturing transfer pricing to supporting invoicing to external partners
  • Partner with the businesses to provide finance support for existing collaborations
  • Partnering with alliance management and functional counterparts on the planning, budgeting and reporting processes
  • Proactively identify, design, and implement enhancements to existing processes to drive efficiency
  • Lead partner with Accounting to ensure full accuracy of costs and supporting reports to ensure timely invoices are submitted to collaboration partners for cross charging of contracted activities
Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years related experience as a Staff Accountant or FP& A Manager
  • 3+ years related experience in the clinical-stage biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong problem-solving skills are critical to performance success
  • Proven customer service oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of cross-functional teams. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively and flexibly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on achievement of results
  • Demonstrated experience building, updating and analyzing financial models, especially with complex cost drivers and inputs
  • Highly proficient with MS Office especially Microsoft Excel, including modeling, formula building, pivot tables, scenario modeling and management of multi-sheet models
  • Experience with SAP
