Job Summary

Dynamite Construction Ltd. is seeking

four experienced Formwork Carpenters

to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork and falsework for concrete structures such as retaining walls, foundations, and other slope stabilization or civil infrastructure components. This role requires strong technical ability, precision, and adherence to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications to determine formwork requirements. Build, erect, and dismantle formwork and falsework for concrete structures, including walls, footings, abutments, and foundations. Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, plywood, steel, and aluminum for form construction. Install reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, or embedded components as required prior to concrete placement. Assist with concrete pouring, vibrating, and finishing operations to ensure quality results. Ensure all formwork is structurally sound, level, and meets dimensional tolerances before concrete placement. Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment associated with formwork carpentry. Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring compliance with Dynamite Construction's Health and Safety Program and WorkSafeBC regulations. Work collaboratively with site supervisors, labourers, and other trades to achieve project milestones efficiently and safely.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum

3-5 years of experience

as a Formwork Carpenter in civil, industrial, or heavy construction environments. Proven ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and formwork layout plans. Proficient with the use of hand tools, saws, drills, measuring equipment, and formwork systems. Knowledge of safe work practices and ability to follow all WorkSafeBC requirements for concrete and carpentry operations. Physically fit and capable of performing physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions. Valid

WHMIS 2015

certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start). Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean abstract preferred. Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
