We are looking for a reliable and skilled Foreman Snow Plow Operator with experience in residential snow removal using a pick-up truck. This position also requires landscape maintenance duties during the summer months, including mowing lawns and maintaining residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a Full G Driver's License, a proven track record of safely operating a snow plow, and the flexibility to work irregular hours based on weather conditions. This is a full-time, year-round position.
Key Responsibilities:
Winter (Snow Removal - Residential Driveways):
Operate a snow plow attached to a pick-up truck to clear snow from residential driveways, walkways, and parking areas.
Monitor weather conditions and adapt snow removal operations as needed to ensure timely service and maintain safe, clear surfaces for residents.
Work efficiently during snowstorms, early mornings, late nights, and weekends, based on weather needs.
Summer (Landscape Maintenance):
Perform general landscape maintenance, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining flower beds and gardens.
Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and other tools.
Perform lawn care tasks such as fertilizing, aerating, and edging.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems and garden features.
Ensure properties are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing, meeting clients' expectations.
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with homeowners.
Qualifications:
Valid Full G Driver's License (required).
Proven experience operating a snow plow, particularly with a pick-up truck (min. 2 years required).
Previous experience in landscape maintenance (preferred).
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including during snowstorms and summer heat.
Flexible work hours, with availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime during peak snow removal season.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Physically capable of performing outdoor work, including lifting heavy objects and operating equipment for extended periods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with residential snow removal or similar equipment.
Landscaping or horticulture knowledge, including familiarity with lawn care techniques and garden maintenance.
Knowledge of snow removal best practices and safe driving in winter conditions.
Compensation:
Competitive wage based on experience.
