The Food Services Manager is responsible for the year-round direction, planning, management and daily operations of the Food Services department. As a departmental leader, you will play a key role in defining the culture of our organization and developing an overall positive guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:



Operations




Oversee and manage Food Service department year-round in line with Brimacombe's mission, vision, values and standards within the Food Services department. Ensure exceptional customer service and full compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsible for departmental budget and inventory management, including product orders, deliveries, invoicing and loss prevention. Responsible for menu development including costing, creation, price setting and Point of Sale maintenance. Oversee daily food service operations for Winter, Summer Camps and special events. Submit financial and departmental reports as needed: payroll, forecasts, budgets, profit reports, etc. Take on any challenge and provide support to other team members when needed.

Personnel




Recruit, hire, train and supervise up to approximately 40 Food Services staff (depending on the time of year) in accordance with Brimacombe and Ontario's Employment Standards and Food Safety standards. Develop staff training materials and subsequent training sessions in conjunction with the management team. Monitor daily operations, scheduling and attendance, providing staff recognition and coaching as well as investigating and documenting policy and procedure infractions.

Brand/Experience Development




Develop and maintain relationships with customers, industry partners, vendors and sales representatives. Responsible for ensuring chalet food services areas are maintained to Brimacombe's standards for both positive guest experiences and food safety regulations. Clean, maintain and oversee repairs of food services equipment and building needs.

Qualifications




Demonstrated experience in a supervisory/management role. Minimum 2+ years' experience in a Food Services role. Successful completion of post-secondary in a related field or equivalent experience, an asset. Ability to work both as a member of a team and independently, and adapt in a fast-paced, multi-season environment. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Customer satisfaction oriented. Knowledge and comfort with computers including Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale software. Good with numbers (strong mathematical skills). Ability to engage in the physical labour of lifting up to 50 lbs, moving equipment and lots of walking. Must provide proof of the following prior to the first day of work: Supervisor Health and Safety Awareness in 5 steps certificate from the Ministry of Labour, valid Ontario's Food Handler Certification, valid Smart Serve Certification and Successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
