Located in the City of London, Arbor Trace is looking for a Food services Manager, permanent full-time day (40h) position, who understands the importance of team success with a desire to succeed. All services within the organization are designed to meet the needs and well-being of their residents. What your role with us will look like:



Be a proven leader, a coach, and ensure the best possible service for the residents. Ensures that meals are prepared according to menu and that recipes are followed Schedule staff, supervise and train dietary staff in day to day kitchen operations Orient new staff and participate in recruitment and selection. Actively communicate policies and procedures Evaluate performance, coaching as necessary Ensure equipment is maintained and work areas are clean, safe and orderly Strictly adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety and sanitation. Maintain food cost within budgetary constraints. Maintain strict inventory control for emergency needs Conduct periodic training for kitchen personnel as necessary to maintain high quality and variety in menus, and job satisfaction for employees Develop and maintain positive relationships with, residents, employees, union, food services organizations and providers Plan special events as needed

The ideal person has:



A desire to work with seniors with dementia Know how to exercise motivational leadership Proven track record in Food preparation and management Stellar communication and interpersonal skills Ease and ability with adapting to change Ability to work in a team and to demonstrate a positive attitude Proven Culinary and leadership skills

Required qualifications:



Ability to relate positively to residents and families, and to work cooperatively with other employees and vendors. Experience with working in a unionized environment Graduate of a recognized College's food preparation program A professional studies diploma in institutional cuisine or equivalent At least one-year supervisory experience preferred. Strong computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
