The Food & Beverage Service Manager will oversee the day to day operations of the front of house food and beverage service and ensure all related departments operate in line with Casino Rama Resort standards while maintaining exceptional customer and employee experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages the Food and Beverage employees including training, hiring, scheduling, supervising and evaluating;
  • Develops and controls departmental budgets and manages operational expenses;
  • Leads team in compliance with AGCO regulations and other applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations;
  • Identifies and implements effective solutions by considering all resources and collaborating across departments and head office;
  • Stays up to date on industry trends that affect areas of responsibility;
  • Understands and utilizes performance metrics to assess and drive financial success;
  • Effective in working with a diverse group of people and collaborates well with others;
  • Demonstrates self-awareness by recognizing own development opportunities and takes steps to improve;
  • Effectively communicates throughout all levels both verbally and in writing;
  • Fairly and consistently manages the performance of others by holding them accountable;
  • Creates an atmosphere that produces a highly engaged workforce and a cohesive team;
  • Promotes a positive image of the property and brand;
  • Ensures work areas are clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter;
  • Conducts daily inspections for safe and clean working environment ensuring adherence to health & safety regulations, standards and policies;
  • Administrative duties as required;
  • Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • Relevant post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or relevant world wide experience.
  • 5-10 years experience in a high-volume hotel, restaurant or casino.
  • 3-5 years managing wine and beverage program or relevant service and beverage skills.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment an asset.
  • Knowledge of Beverage Certification.
  • Understanding of budgets and food/labour costs.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements.
  • Knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures for food and beverage operations.

  • Individual must have or be eligible for AGCO Category 1 Licensing.
