What you will do
Deton Cho Construction Services is recruiting for a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Projects, the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible to oversee and manage all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair within a fleet, including scheduling, tracking, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. They work with service technicians and external vendors to maintain vehicles and keep them road-ready, while also managing inventory, monitoring costs, and assisting with vehicle purchases.
The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator position works within this context to provide efficient, timely and accurate administrative and functional services.
A Day in the Life
  • Scheduling and Tracking: Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, coordinate vehicle reservations and maintenance requests, and track all maintenance activities.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and track vehicle inventory to ensure adequate supply of spare parts.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and other relevant standards. Including ensuring the annual DOT Registrations and necessary inspections and certifications are completed prior to expiration.
  • Cost Control: Manage repair, inventory, and labor costs. Provide reports to Technicians, Managers and other teams members as requested or scheduled.
  • Communication and Coordination: Work with service technicians, external vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient maintenance operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs, including accident reports and paperwork for vehicles and drivers. This will be completed thru fleet maintenance software.
  • Problem Solving: Address maintenance issues, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
  • Vehicle Acquisition and Disposal: Assist with vehicle purchases and replacements.
