Reporting directly to the Fleet Supervisor, the Fleet & Logistics Coordinator will assist in all aspects relative to inbound and outbound transportation of East Penn Canada\xe2\x80\x99s products along with, fleet maintenance, reporting/documentation, fleet utilization, compliance, mitigating risk and expenditures. Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintaining a current fleet database, recording all vehicles, inspections, maintenance and repair history, etc.
Maintaining the schedule for preventative maintenance service and vehicle inspections of fleet for leased fleet vehicles. Tracking repairs through external vendors.
Promptly resolving concerns with respect to fleet, maintenance, transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, and customer concerns.
Effectively assist with managing the ongoing day-to-day relationship with the carriers/fleet.
Arranging for shipping documentation and maintaining systems for overseeing the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
Collaborating with other departments to integrate transportation with business systems or processes, such as sales, order management, accounting or shipping.
Monitoring specific fleet maintenance plans and related cost.
Planning, coordinating and analyzing all logistics functions across the network.
Working with all stakeholders to identify freight and transportation requirements.
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
Post-Secondary Education, preferably in Business/logistics or a related program or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in an automotive related industry
2+ years of experience in a fleet / logistics function
ERP experience (SAP preferred)
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Familiarity with technology within logistics field (e.g. routing software, GPS applications and Fleet Maintenance software)
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify trends, resolve issues and propose recommendations
Strong organization and prioritizing skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines
Flexible and adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Professional business acumen and strong customer focused attitude; maintains a positive and professional demeanor at all times
