Only those Indigenous peoples who come from Canada should identify themselves as belonging to this designated group.The Senior Manager, Indigenous Procurement Relations, is part of Global Procurement Services (GPS) a dynamic and collaborative team focused on growing Indigenous procurement. As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for growing Scotiabank\xe2\x80\x99s number of Indigenous suppliers and Indigenous spend, doing so by helping to build relationships, remove barriers and to bridge between Community and the Bank (which includes Strategic Sourcing and the Business). Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Governance that oversees Responsible Procurement, you will play a critical role in managing across all levels of the bank to educate, collaborate and to build reciprocal relationships with Indigenous Suppliers.If you are the right person for this opportunity, you have an excellent understanding of Indigenous culture, as well as strong communication and relationship building skills. You have executive presence, with proven stakeholder management skills and excel in a flexible, fast paced work environment.Is this role right for you? In this role you, will:Manage the completion and implementation of Scotiabank\xe2\x80\x99s Indigenous procurement plan, including Policy and Procedural requirements, and communicate GPS\xe2\x80\x99 Indigenous vision, and initiatives both internally and externally.Foster engagement and partnership with Community and Indigenous business to stimulate Indigenous economic prosperity by increasing both the number of Indigenous suppliers and amount of Indigenous spend focusing on set targets.Act as an ambassador of Indigenous procurement, helping businesses to navigate the Procurement process including the Third Party Risk Management program.Manage and ensure successful delivery of multiple Indigenous procurement initiatives, involving diverse teams and groups across the bank.Help to create accountability by reviewing, measuring and reporting on Indigenous procurement targets. Establish and operate effective methodologies to track and meet initiative status, risks, issues, and interdependencies.Create procurement ready programs for Community and Indigenous Businesses to help build their capacity, ability, resilience and readiness to work for Scotiabank.Manage effective communication and education across GPS to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging to impacted stakeholders.Lead and support the development and delivery of compelling content to support bank strategies.Contribute to a high-performance, collaborative work environment that attracts, motivates, and develops, team members by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy, and promoting growth opportunities.Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We\'d love to work with you if you have:Excellent understanding of Indigenous culture and business practicesGood understanding of the procurement process and sub-processes (e.g. Sourcing, Third Party Risk Management, Negotiation and Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Purchasing and Payment).Proven ability to lead multiple priorities, adapt to constantly changing business environment, and drive initiatives to completion.Proactive with strong organizational skills and demonstrated accountability.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate across a broad spectrum from detailed level to senior executives.Solution oriented, with strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.If you have not yet learned all of the above, don\xe2\x80\x99t worry!
