Front of House Manager / General Manager

to lead our guest experience and restaurant operations at the highest level.

Role Overview:


As FOH Manager/GM at this nationally recognized fine dining establishment, you will oversee all front of house operations, drive service excellence, manage financials, and lead a team dedicated to maintaining NUPO's reputation as one of Canada's premier restaurants.

Key Responsibilities:



1 - Fine Dining Operations & Service Excellence



Oversee all front of house operations with focus on flawless guest service execution Maintain exceptional standards for tasting menu service, wine pairings, and tableside presentations Implement and enforce rigorous health, safety, and sanitation protocols Ensure seamless coordination between front of house and kitchen teams Uphold NUPO's reputation for consistency and innovation

2 - Team Leadership & Hospitality Culture



Recruit, hire, train, and manage elite front of house professionals Develop high-performance team culture focused on hospitality excellence Lead daily pre-shift meetings and ongoing performance development Provide mentorship and clear performance expectations for fine dining service Foster collaborative environment between service, sommelier, and culinary teams

3 - Guest Experience & VIP Relations



Create personalized, memorable experiences for every guest Build and maintain relationships with regular patrons, VIPs, and industry professionals Manage guest feedback, resolve issues with grace, and drive loyalty Oversee reservation management and special event coordination

4 - Financial Management & Business Strategy



Partner with executive team on budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management Monitor and optimize labor costs, inventory, and operational efficiency Analyze sales reports, service metrics, and identify growth opportunities Support marketing initiatives and community engagement strategies

What You Bring



Minimum 3+ years

management experience in

fine dining, upscale, or award-winning restaurants

Deep expertise in front of house and back of house operations, budgeting, and inventory control Strong leadership presence with hands-on management approach Exceptional decision-making, time management, and delegation skills Proven track record of mentoring and developing hospitality professionals Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, and reservation platforms Genuine passion for hospitality excellence and guest-first mindset

Wine / sake / spirits knowledge

and understanding of beverage program management
