We currently have a contract opportunity for a Financial Analyst. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, you will provide data driven decision making support to the company by compiling, interpreting, and reporting on key financial operation performance. You will also be accountable for several key financial projects, which could include:

  • Supporting the development of processes, and reporting relating to cash flow management and forecasting models
  • Creating tools, policies, processes and reporting that support the risk control matrix in areas such as authority matrixes, approval processes, contract administration, etc.
  • Supporting the implementation of an asset management system to support assets and capital leases
  • Continuous improvement initiatives focused on driving efficiency, automation, reporting and robust internal controls
This role could be a good fit for you if you have:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as Commerce, Finance and/or Accounting
  • 1-3 years' experience, preferably as a financial or project analyst
  • Well developed problem-solving and ideating skills; the ability to formulate alternatives and recommend a course of action based on data and facts
  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Power BI or MS Power Query will be an asset
Farmers Edge provides a flexible work environment. For this role the ideal candidate will reside in Winnipeg and be well setup to work from home, with the flexibility to occasionally commute to our Winnipeg Corporate Office for opportunities to collaborate as a team.
