PD International is a Canadian based company which specializes in developing and manufacturing innovative products for the recreational powersports and automotive industries. PDI was founded as a company specializing in automotive drivetrain components, however, over the years this has diversified into other powersports segments. PDI currently focuses heavily on developing and manufacturing products for the off-road aftermarket. Over the last few years the off-road segment of the company has been growing rapidly as evidenced by continually increasing sales of both our main brands, Demon Powersports and Rugged ATV/UTV components. Currently, PDI is a market leader in the ATV and UTV market for heavy duty performance components under its Demon Powersports brand. The ideal candidate is a senior financial leader with a Post-Secondary degree. (Business Management training through education or equivalent employment experience) bringing a depth of experience in a private sector organization. The Controller will have highly developed creative communication and leadership skills. Responsibilities and Duties \xc2\xb7 Will undertake all aspects of financial management including management and financial reporting, budgeting, forecast preparation, and the maintenance and development of internal control policies, procedures and processes \xc2\xb7 Prepare annual financial business plans and targets, operating and capital budgets and forecasts \xc2\xb7 Ensure the account reconciliations, G/L management, monthly accruals, A/R, A/P and related functions, internal expense reporting, fixed asset management, tax filings and corporate tax installments are completed accurately and on time \xc2\xb7 Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (to include P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow forecasts) and management reporting and analysis to support Executive decision making. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met \xc2\xb7 Tax planning, and ensure compliance with Corporate Tax, HST and other government reconciliations and remittances \xc2\xb7 Analyze key variances and monitor progress of action plans to improve results and strategically operate the business \xc2\xb7 Manage cash flow and capital spending \xc2\xb7 Seek out continuous improvement in our financial processes and implement best practices and procedures \xc2\xb7 Manage, coach, supervise and train 3 finance team members \xc2\xb7 Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed by all staff and that all transactions are correctly reflected in the accounts \xc2\xb7 Assist with preparation for year-end work with independent accounting firm, included but not limited to preparing year-end schedules to facilitate Review engagement and addressing queries from the accountants \xc2\xb7 Liaise (key contact), deal with financial institutions and compliance with their requirements \xc2\xb7 Manage project quoting and job costing against the identified project cost and identify strategies to ensure that costs are optimized and efficient \xc2\xb7 With management of treasury functions including cash, foreign exchange, debt and other instrument as needed \xc2\xb7 Analyze and report financials and operating metrics for all departments and circulate weekly financial/operational performance Dashboard \xc2\xb7 Be responsible for semi-monthly payroll \xc2\xb7 All IT requirements associated with required controls \xc2\xb7 Produce management reports on request \xc2\xb7 Additional Duties and projects as assigned Qualifications and Skills \xc2\xb7 University degree in Accounting/Finance. Business Management training through education or equivalent employment experience is preferred; CPA in good standing \xc2\xb7 Minimum 10 years accounting experience \xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years management or supervisory experience in a related and progressive Finance/Accounting Role \xc2\xb7 Competence and experience in the duties and responsibilities described above \xc2\xb7 Solid knowledge and understanding of full cycle accounting, financial statements, budgeting/forecasting, year-end functions \xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of internal controls * Sound knowledge of Canadian tax and experience preparing and filing corporate tax returns \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Sage 300, Simply Accounting and Accpcc \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoints \xc2\xb7 Excellent judgement, problem solving skills \xc2\xb7 Self-starter, team player and ability to thrive in fast paced and high energy environment \xc2\xb7 Possess initiative, integrity and a strong work ethic \xc2\xb7 Attention to detail, accuracy is important \xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible \xc2\xb7 Professional, self-confident and able to work independently \xc2\xb7 Strong customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude \xc2\xb7 Solid verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English \xc2\xb7 Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines Job Type: Full-time Salary: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year Benefits:
