JOB SUMMARY Starting Salary - TBD Commensurate with knowledge & experience Custom Ice Inc. is a Burlington based company that specializes in the design, manufacture and installation of refrigerated ice rink products and services for residential and commercial customers in Canada and the US. Reporting to the President, the Financial Controller is accountable for all finance & accounting functions of the organization. This will include leading and managing the accounting, office and administrative functions. Prepare accurate and timely reporting of financial results. Manage cash flow and the payment to suppliers, customer invoicing and collections. Role and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all finance and accounting functions for the organization including accounts payable/receivable and financial statement preparation
• Maintain and improve financial information and recording systems by ensuring that proper accounting principles and practices are followed
• Provide monthly and annual financial reconciliations and reporting
• Complete bi-weekly payroll
• Liaise with external auditors
• Manage and provide oversight to the finance internal control system and processes
• Maintain and develop proper processes and related documentation across the organization
• Ensure payments to suppliers are completed in an accurate and timely manner; maintain the related system and controls to support the payment process
• Monthly and annual Government and tax remittances
• Complete all monthly and annual US tax filing
• Responsible for the organization\xe2\x80\x99s budget preparation and forecasting
• Manage company cash flow
• Responsible for managing accounting staff, including; monitoring performance, day-to-day activity
• Manage all WSIB claims and reporting
• Health and Safety management
• Oversee and manage IT functions
• Administer all HR & Benefit functions
• Manage office & administration
• Review all customer contracts
• Manage company insurance requirements
• Co-ordinate with legal on any A/R issues, legal claims
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines
• All other duties as required

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, CPA designation (preferred)
• Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a professional accountant with extensive experience ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Extensive knowledge of Quickbooks is essential
• Experience supervising accounting team (AP, AR, general accounting)
• Knowledge of US Sales and Use Tax reporting
• Experience in providing financial advice to management
• Proven leadership and relationship management skills and experience
