We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance team and want to transition into a Senior Financial Analyst role within the next 3 years. This role offers the opportunity to work in a unique and exciting industry, contributing to the success of our eco-tourism experiences. Responsibilities:
  • Blachford Admin & Accounting
\xc2\xb7 Maintain complete and accurate financial records within Quickbooks; including invoices, inventory, fixed assets and supporting documents \xc2\xb7 Record day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness and in accordance with accounting standards \xc2\xb7 Review invoices, initiate improvements in the invoicing process and provide support to the Sales Team for any invoicing needs within or outside Quickbooks. \xc2\xb7 Ensure timely payment of bills while managing working capital \xc2\xb7 Reconcile bank statements to ensure incoming and outgoing funds are accounted for and transactions are properly recorded. \xc2\xb7 Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements \xc2\xb7 Record, file and pay GST monthly \xc2\xb7 Maintain Lapsing Schedule for Fixed Assets and conduct annual inventory to ascertain physical existence. \xc2\xb7 Maintain inventory record of lodge supplies, merchandise and clothing rental and conduct periodic inventory \xc2\xb7 Perform monthly close ensuring intercompany accounts are reconciled, accruals are recorded, and prepayments are expensed \xc2\xb7 File and pay payroll taxes \xc2\xb7 Calculate, file and pay (WSCC/WSIB equivalent) \xc2\xb7 Assist in HR admin tasks, such as maintenance of Bamboo for Blachford employees and providing payroll information to Ceridian. \xc2\xb7 Assist with flight and hotel bookings for staff \xc2\xb7 Oversee the Yellowknife offices ensuring rent is paid on time, appropriate insurance is in place, petty cash is set-up and office expenses are in check. Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, or any business related field. \xc2\xb7 Enrolled in the CPA program \xc2\xb7 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \xc2\xb7 Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. \xc2\xb7 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS platforms. \xc2\xb7 Passion for the luxury travel industry and a genuine interest in the Arctic.
