People will count on you to prepare and consolidate financial information and participate in various analyses which will be used by senior management in their decision-making.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do here:

  • Produce various reports and perform ad-hoc analyses using current and historical information of financial and operational results supporting senior management\xe2\x80\x99s decision-making.
  • In collaboration with the Investor Relations team and MD&A and planning team, assist in the quarterly earnings process (key messages, Q&A, Internal Stats Supplement, etc.)
  • Support team members in the execution of special projects and in their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Understand key data sources, dynamically upkeep and increase control effectiveness of reports to ensure accuracy and provide historical view of various financial/operational Key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management use
  • Preparation and management of various work planning activities, coordinating availability of various stakeholders for quarter-end duties (in charge of the team quarter-end calls/deliverables planning/tracking)
What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance or accounting, or any other analytical training.
  • One to three years of finance or accounting experience.
  • Working towards a CPA, CFA related designation. Having a CPA, CFA designation, an asset.
  • Insurance industry experience, an asset.
  • Ability to interact and communicate clearly with a variety of people at all levels of the organization, including management and external contributors.
  • Bilingualism (French-English), spoken and written. You will interact regularly in English with colleagues from across the country.
  • Willingness to learn, agile and proven ability to thrive in a fast paced/changing environment.
  • Strong planning/organization skills and attention/focus on details.
