:We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The chosen candidate will be responsible for various financial and accounting tasks in our team. The job function will include activities such as the reconciliation of cash clearing GL accounts, preparation of financial reports, and taking a lead role in managing department objectives.Responsibilities:

• Handle the reconciliation of cash clearing General Ledger accounts for both stores and corporate cash GL accounts.

• Prepare and review financial reports and provide necessary analysis.

• Actively engage in period end close activities which include journal entry preparations and reconciliations.

• Conduct in-depth analysis as required.

• Play a vital role in ensuring that department objectives and initiatives are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

• Conduct Ad Hoc Financial Analysis as per the business requirements.

• Utilize skills in Financial Analysis to contribute to the team\'s objectives.

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and ensure all records are up to date.

• The applicant should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Financial Analyst role.
• Proficiency in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis and Financial Analysis is required.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary.
• The applicant should possess a degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is essential.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines is expected.
• Experience with financial modeling and forecasting is preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential.
• The applicant should have a thorough understanding of financial trends and patterns.
• Knowledge of financial software applications is a plus.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
