Financial Analyst - 3+ month contract opportunity starting immediately in Toronto, Ontario!

Position Overview:

As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This temporary role provides an excellent opportunity for an aspiring financial professional to gain hands-on experience in a reputable financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.
- Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to support decision-making.

Data Compilation:
- Gather and organize financial data from various sources for analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Support senior analysts in presenting findings and insights to management.

Budgeting:
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of budgets.
- Assist in analyzing budget-to-actual variances and providing explanations.

Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc analyses as directed by senior management.
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
