Our client has been in business nearly 60+ years and is a global leader in a niche manufacturing and consumer packaged goods environment. This is an Excellent opportunity to join the Canadian entity of a global company.

The Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance and will oversee day-to-day accounting transactions and financial reporting. You will analyze and interpret financial activities and report to management on variances and have suggestions for improved efficiencies and operations.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Responsible for month, quarter, and year-end journal entries, accruals and prepaid schedules
• Preparation of financial reports on marketing spend vs budget, daily dashboard, sales expenses, etc
• Various report generation through Excel, Crystal Reports, and Tableau
• Coordination of actuals, forecasts, budgets into various systems, as required by head office
• Regular internal audits and data checks to ensure accurate data retention and management of business risk
• Assist in various projects directed toward improving operational efficiency and improving reporting accuracy and usefulness.

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting and pursuing CPA
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial information
• Experience in trade spend management
• Knowledge of computerized financial reporting and management information systems
• Above-excellent skills in report design and automation through Excel are mandatory and strong skills in Crystal Reports preferred
• Industry experience in manufacturing, consumer packaged goods is preferred
• Computer skills: above-average skills in Microsoft Excel, experience in working with ERP systems (Sage), SAP BW, Cognos and Tableau
• 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a financial analysis position
