You\'ll be interested in Robert Half\'s new opportunity if you are a skilled Financial Analyst. Looking for work where you can become a key business partner in forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management? This Financial Analyst position might be right for you. This position would involve conducting financial modeling on various financial products, as well as measuring, analyzing and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, you\'re a good fit for this position. Advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management will also be part of this position. This Financial Analyst role is based in the Dundas, Ontario, area.

Responsibilities

- Review annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations

- Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

- Adaptable individual experienced in analyzing large amounts of information and managing expectations

- Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

- Work with the Accounting group to lead the monthly and quarterly close process

- Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support

- Assemble and overview forecasting reports

- Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Maintain weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Study performance to date and examine potential risks and opportunities

- Perform extensive research on the underlying internal and external drivers that are affecting performance and trending
- Strong communication and social skills

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Practical knowledge in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)

- Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system

- Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement

- Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

- Earlier work involving budget forecasting

- Demonstrated knowledge of Year-end Close

- Knowledge of Financial Chart

- Experience with Post Journal Entries

- Year-end Reporting experience highly preferred

- Background working with Annual Forecasts

- Good understanding of forecasting

- Practical knowledge of Year-end Financial Statements

- Strong familiarity with Financial Close Process

- Financial analysis experience

- Adeptness in Record Journal Entries

- General familiarity with year end closings

- Foundational knowledge in Financial Forecast

- Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
