Overview of Position:
We are looking for a skilled individual to fill the Financial Analyst role who will be responsible for performing daily, weekly, and monthly financial functions for all entities of Cobra Enterprises Ltd. This position will be responsible for closing and reporting on the financial stability of the company to shareholders and stakeholders, reviewing and analyzing financial reports, and completing and reviewing reconciliations. The successful candidate will also be required to review income statements to ensure proper coding, prepare tax filings and related reports, and support the planning and budgeting process of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Bank Reconciliations
: Reconcile bank transactions daily to make sure they are up to date, post and balance daily transactions, back-office Visa reconciliations, etc.
Reconciliations & Trackers
: Prepare monthly reconciliations for the prior month, gain approval, and post (ex: prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany expenses, current & long-term liabilities). Gas & Credit Card tracking and maintaining all other finance tracking.
Accounts Payable
: Review AP reconciliations monthly and resolve discrepancies, maintain or develop guidelines and/or best practices.
Income Statement Coding
: Review income statement lines and prepaid expenses to ensure that proper coding has been applied for the appropriate output.
Tax Filings & Reporting
: Prepare and file GST/HST returns for all entities, prepare and file RST Statements, utilize project forecast sheets, and ensure that reporting for Provincial Jurisdictions is in line.
: Professional and courteous communication, build relationships with vendors, staff, and contacts, and ensure the confidentiality and privacy of financial records.
Preferred Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in a Financial Analyst or similar role.
Degree or Diploma in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
Working towards or possesses a CPA designation.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, with a proven ability to contribute to the creation of impactful strategies.
Experience with using accounting systems/software and Microsoft Office products (primarily Excel).
Excellent analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail with the ability to review and verify the accuracy of data.
Possess a valid driver's license

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, and third parties.
Strong financial skills and experience with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure control.
Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines.
Understanding of accounting standards, principles, concepts, and policies.
Problem solving and decision-making skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve analytical issues.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced/dynamic work environment.
Work conditions:
May include travel, ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
