Finance Manager - Sechelt, BC GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework.
  • Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information and forecasting future financial trends.
  • Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the company and future business decisions might be impacted.
  • Producing financial reports, analysis and dashboards related to budgets, payroll, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company?s actual performance compared to the business plans and conduct evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Reviewing, monitoring, and managing budgets.
  • Administrate accounting software, payroll and other general accounting tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics and CPA qualification.
  • Proven track record as a Accounts/Financial Manager.
  • Experience in previous possible roles such as financial analyst is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills and proficient user of finance software such as Sage or similar.
