Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead store operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive sales performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base. This position is integral to maintaining a well-organized, profitable, and customer-focused store environment.

Duties

Assist in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to company policies Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members Manage merchandising efforts to optimize product placement and presentation Handle sales management activities such as pricing strategies, sales tracking, and achieving sales targets Oversee cash handling procedures, cashiering operations, and POS transactions with accuracy Coordinate purchasing and inventory management to maintain stock levels and minimize shortages Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase store visibility Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training sessions Monitor budget adherence and assist in financial planning including bookkeeping and administrative tasks Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive customer relations Supervise store cleanliness, safety protocols, and overall store appearance

Qualifications

Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or sales management roles with supervising experience preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for bookkeeping purposes Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing techniques, and inventory control Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff Competence in budgeting, payroll processing, administrative tasks, and time management Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal communication abilities

Pay: $15.00-$24.54 per hour
