Job Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills within a fast-paced retail environment, contributing to the overall success and growth of the store. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining operational standards.

Duties



Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members. Supervise and motivate staff to achieve sales targets while maintaining high customer service standards. Manage merchandising efforts, including pricing, product placement, and inventory control. Handle cash register operations, including cashiering and cash handling procedures. Oversee payroll processing and ensure accurate record-keeping through bookkeeping and administrative tasks. Implement marketing strategies to promote store sales and brand awareness. Monitor store performance metrics and prepare reports for management review. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills. Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management to optimize profitability. Maintain effective communication with staff and customers to foster a positive shopping environment.

Experience



Proven supervisory or management experience in retail sales or store management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in POS systems, merchandising software, and basic math for pricing and bookkeeping tasks. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Experience with recruiting, training & development, marketing strategies, and sales management is preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative responsibilities such as payroll and budgeting. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Pay: $29.20-$31.71 per hour
