Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Support installation and service of robots and robotic systems by providing technical assistance. This work includes setup, programming, troubleshooting and repairing robots and peripheral devices
  • Install, startup and debug of the system/unit being installed while supporting the installation through buyoff and customer acceptance
  • Provide timely updates back to FANUC which should include any incidental service issues that may arise during installation
  • Provide prompt, professional and courteous solutions to customer problems
  • Be able to troubleshoot problems, secure any needed parts
  • Process any necessary paperwork and provide the customer/FANUC with detailed descriptions of the problem(s) found
  • Provide technical support to various parts of FANUC including Hotline, training segments and to the training of Associate Service Engineers
  • Coordinate responsibilities, activities, parts and schedule with Service Supervisor/Project Manager to insure customer satisfaction, proper billing, and completion of service calls or projects
  • Follow Engineering guidelines and other standardized procedures to comply with the Product specifications, laws and regulations
  • Domestic and international travel
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
  • Associates degree or equivalent technical education, or related experience
  • Minimum of three years experience working in a related environment preferred
  • Ability to analyze and solve service and robot installation problems
  • Conversant preferably in at least two of the following areas: electrical, electronic, computer science, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC or mechanical. And must have the ability to read and interpret prints and related technical documentation
  • Must be able to perform intricate repairs or mechanical and electrical items
