Job Details:

Position Title: Field Placement Coordinator

Status: Regular Part-time

Hours: 24 hrs/week

Faculty/Department: Faculty of Social & Community Services

Campus/Location: Lakeshore Campus

Salary: EPEW Band 8: $29.88 - $34.63

What you will do:

Reporting to the Manager, Work Integrated Learning, the Field Placement Coordinator is a proactive team member in the Faculty of Social and Community Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing suitable placement opportunities for students, liaising with internship hosts, seminar instructors and students, and managing a database of placement related information. The Field Placement Coordinator is also responsible for a host of administrative functions relating to Work-Integrated Learning and Experiential Learning. The Field Placement Coordinator will uphold the FSCS values of compassion, integrity, respect, self-awareness, and inclusion in all interactions with students, external and internal stakeholders.

Education:

The successful candidate will hold a 4-year degree or equivalent

Skills and Experiences:

The incumbent must have a minimum of two years of related work experience, and demonstrate the following:

Exceptional administrative, interpersonal, communication and organization skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision are essential. Other qualifications include: demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, exercise good judgement, work with significant interruptions, and resolve conflicts.

Preference will go to applicants with a background in Human Service fields such as Social Service, Community Development, Addictions and Mental Heath, Behavioural Science, Community Justice as well as job development experience.
