Are you a dedicated and compassionate person who is looking to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities and their families by providing family-centered support?

We are currently seeking an energetic individual with a passion for working with children to join our team!

The Connect Behaviour approach is informed by multiple schools of knowledge. Attachment Theory, Neuro-sequential Model, Trauma Informed Practice, and Intersectionality inform our practice of providing coaching, strategies, and tools that enable families to build healthy and reciprocal relationships. We uphold the dignity of the child and provide them with an environment that allows for agency over their decisions while accounting for safety. Allowing for natural and logical consequences to guide learning, and building a healthy understanding of limits and relationships. We address and support the skills of the entire family with the belief that skillful and well supported families raise thriving children.

Role:



Each child and their family become part of an Instructional Team. We offer a variety of programming options including individualized and small groups, as well as opportunities for team collaboration and coaching.

Family Coaches work collaboratively to plan and deliver programming, working with the families in-home and online to achieve goals that allow for growth, self-determination, and agency.

Responsibilities Include:



Working with a supportive, progressive multi-disciplinary team Assessment and programming for children with a variety of needs from 3 - 17 years old Participation in the development of Behaviour Development Support Plan (BDSs) Work collaboratively in our welcoming community of people-first, emotion focused professionals Preference will be given to candidates with experience working alongside Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists.

Requirements:



Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel throughout the greater Calgary area and surrounding communities such as Airdrie, Chestermere and Cochrane. High school diploma or equivalent Current First Aid certification Police information with a vulnerable sector check
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
