ABOUT US:
Onion Lake Family Services is an organization that strengthens family units by offering support and resources to parents and caregivers, aiming for healthy homes. Our short-term, strength based services focus on empowering families for long term improvement and skill building.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Assistant Protection Supervisor, the Case Aide will be responsible for providing support functions to Family Services Workers in respect to families and children in care. Their primary role is to develop and coordinate administrative tasks so that efficient and detailed information readily available for all case files.
Assist with data entry/updating of client files on the database and hard files.
Assist staff in the coordination and preparation of materials for meetings, workshops and training sessions as required.
Photocopying/faxing/typing of letters and documents
Create contact notes - documentation of transport, face to face and home visits.
General administrative duties
Transport of clients as needed.
Providing a variety of services in support of case management duties as assigned.
Assist in the rotation of On-call and Intake
Complete SDM Intake Assessment from time to time
Other duties as that are complementary to the role.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Diploma / certificate in human services field and 1-year relevant experience.
Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector.
Valid Class 5 driver's license with acceptable abstract.
Combined education and experience will be considered.

• Good knowledge of computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong principles and ethics
• Work under pressure and stressful situations
• Attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Valid CPR, First Aid certificate
• Physical ability to lift up-to 20lbs
