About the role

Don\xe2\x80\x99t have your insurance adjuster\xe2\x80\x99s licence? Not a problem \xe2\x80\x93 we\xe2\x80\x99ll take care of your training!

Location: Montreal (2020 boul. Robert-Bourassa), Anjou (7101 rue Jean-Talon Est), Quebec City (5700 boul. des Galeries) or Saint-Hyacinthe (2450 rue Girouard Ouest)
Work schedule: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday (35 hours/week)
Start date: January 16, 2023

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do here:

  • Answer phone calls from customers; open claim files and ensure that immediate support is provided as the situation requires.
  • Gather insureds\xe2\x80\x99 or witnesses\xe2\x80\x99 versions of events by interviewing them about the accident.
  • Determine whether the claim is covered by analyzing the coverages required to cover the loss.
  • Analyze the information obtained, make decisions to determine liability and review the assessment of the damages.
  • Settle claims fairly and equitably, confirm damage amounts and make payments.
What you bring to the table:
  • Enrollment in insurance adjuster training and successful completion of exam.
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

To obtain your insurance adjuster\xe2\x80\x99s licence, you must have:
  • AEC diploma in insurance or a CEGEP diploma (possible exception made if you have a high school diploma and three years of full-time work experience).
  • Excellent customer service skills, which will allow you to reassure and accompany your customer throughout the claims process.
  • Strong analytical skills, which will enable you to use your judgment and logic in assessing your claims files.
  • The ability to comfortably navigate different computer systems.
  • The ability to adapt to change in a constantly evolving environment.
  • The ability to communicate with our francophone and anglophone customers on a daily basis (an intermediate level of English is required).
Training
  • Your paid, full-time training will allow you to become familiar with the insurance industry and the Intact culture.
  • You will be paid, mentored and supported during your exam preparation to obtain your claims adjuster licence.
