Experienced Mechanical Engineer (HVAC, plumbing, building Services) As a Mechanical Engineer with Entrust Engineering you will have the opportunity to work on a multitude of different projects within the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors of the HVAC, plumbing and Building Service Design industry. We are seeking experienced candidates who are looking for a position that will allow for growth and development. Duties and Responsibility \xc2\xb7 Provide drafting support using Revit and AutoCAD software, herein referred to as CAD. \xc2\xb7 Provide maintenance support for CAD library, standards and templates. \xc2\xb7 Assist/provide guidance to Junior staff with design and CAD related questions and ensuring consistent quality drawings are being prepared and issued. \xc2\xb7 Continued development in Revit and producing drawings when required \xc2\xb7 Perform engineering calculations (heat loss calculations (Carrier HAP), duct/pipe design, equipment selection, lifecycle analysis, etc\xe2\x80\xa6) as required to achieve project scope of work. \xc2\xb7 Assist in the cost effective and energy efficient design of HVAC, plumbing and drainage and fire protection systems for the industrial, commercial, institutional and residential sectors. \xc2\xb7 Liaise and attend meetings with relevant parties to a specific project. \xc2\xb7 Perform detailed mechanical on-site surveys of existing systems, as required. \xc2\xb7 A typical project consists of schematic design (SD), design development (DD), contract document (CD) and contract administration (CA) phases. o The completion of the SD, DD, CD, CA for large scale (< 500,000sqft) project, supervisory/engineering support to be provided on a requested basis. o Working together with supervisor/engineer, to complete (pharmaceutical, cannabis, healthcare, food process, etc\xe2\x80\xa6) SD, DD, CD, CA for special type projects. \xc2\xb7 Perform revisions to prepared drawings as requested (i.e. by engineer, architect, client, etc.) \xc2\xb7 Prepare working mechanical drawings and specifications for Review, Permit, Tender and Construction. \xc2\xb7 Prepare contemplated change notices, addendums and site instructions as required. \xc2\xb7 Coordination with all relevant parties to a specific project. \xc2\xb7 Assist in the preparation of engineering reports including existing system studies and
recommendations. \xc2\xb7 You shall act in the capacity and perform with a professional engineering license in the Province of Ontario. Providing your seal on drawings is a requirement of your role. \xc2\xb7 A valid \xe2\x80\x98G\xe2\x80\x99 driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence will be required for occasional travel to sites, meetings, etc., mostly within the Greater Toronto Area. Qualifications and Skills Required \xc2\xb7 Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or relevant diploma. \xc2\xb7 Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng.) \xc2\xb7 minimum 6+ years of engineering experience in the industry \xc2\xb7 Experience in multi-disciplined project coordination \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT is an asset \xc2\xb7 Require comprehensive knowledge of current engineering principles and practices, complemented with a strong knowledge of project management concepts and practices \xc2\xb7 Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members in a clear manner \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Canadian/American Engineering standards \xc2\xb7 Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including executives \xc2\xb7 Excellent time management and project management skills \xc2\xb7 High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning \xc2\xb7 Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year Benefits:
