Who we are looking for:
The Victoria Inn Winnipeg is searching for a Housekeeping Manager. This position will
require high visibility and the desire to interact with employees and guests while performing floor shifts. Strong skills in leadership, communication, organization and attention to detail are required. Only candidates that have a positive customer service attitude will be considered.
What you will learn:
You will learn a full working knowledge of the hotel's housekeeping operations. Successful applicants will learn how to schedule employees, learn to count and verify housekeeping inventories as well as how to order supplies and equipment. The successful candidate will attend department and management meetings, as well as professional development courses and workshops.
Position Summary:
Through the guidance of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, oversee and support the daily operations of the housekeeping department by providing consistent quality through co-ordination of daily activities. Ensure the coordination of room assignments while verifying minutes per room and wage costs are in line. Monitor and provide guidance for staff, and ensure proper procedures, policies, and standards are being enforced.
