Position Summary

Canada\'s first Gordon Ramsay Burger is well underway at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver in and we\'re on the lookout for our next Executive Chef. Be a part of Chef Ramsay\'s signature burger concept that marries culinary finesse with comfort food nostalgia-the perfect recipe for an immersive dining experience. We are seeking an experienced, well-rounded, and hands-on Executive Chef to act as a leader and uphold an unrivaled dining experience. The Executive Chef, Gordon Ramsay Burger is an energetic, highly motivated person with a passion for hospitality. In this position, you will act as the leader in our kitchen, upholding service priorities including safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed. Key Accountabilities

  • Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to the culinary operation
  • Developing policies & procedures to enhance and measure quality; continually updating written policies & procedures to reflect state-of-the-art techniques, equipment and terminology.
  • Developing standard techniques for food preparation
  • Providing training & professional development opportunities for all kitchen team members
  • Evaluating food products to ensure that quality standards are consistently attained
  • Approving products & other necessary food supply requisitions
  • Preparing necessary data for applicable parts of the budget; projecting annual food, labor & other costs along with monitoring financial results
  • Consulting with Food & Beverage management about food production aspects of special events being planned
  • Ensuring proper staffing for maximum productivity & high standards of quality, controls food & payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability
  • Working closely with the General Manager, Gordon Ramsay Burger to maintain successful Food and Beverage operations
  • Maintaining compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards and policies
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualifications
  • Legendary guest service skills with a \xe2\x80\x9cMake it Happen\xe2\x80\x9d attitude
  • A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
  • Understanding of yourself and others when communicating with team members and guests

  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in Culinary management
  • Previous experience being a part of restaurant pre-opening team is a huge asset
  • Previous management experience working in a premium-casual restaurant or establishment
  • Knowledge of Optimum Control an asset
  • Previous experience managing multiple outlets such as banquets and buffets required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example
  • Culinary education and previous hotel experience an asset
  • Red Seal certification an asset
  • Level 1 and Level 2 Food Safe certification
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Serving It Right Certificate
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
