Your role

CBC/Radio-Canada French Services is looking for someone to fill the role of Executive Assistant to its Executive Vice-President (EVP). You will be working in an environment requiring a sense of urgency, good judgment, independence and flexibility.

Key responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage the calendar and daily schedule of the EVP and Chief of Staff according to priorities, ensuring they have the necessary background material and are properly briefed prior to meetings.
  • Assist with daily task management and follow-ups while managing changing priorities.
  • Work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Arrange meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) requests.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with all leadership teams.
  • Respond to email correspondence sent to the EVP, assessing the urgency and importance of requests and ensuring that you obtain the relevant information from members of his leadership team.
  • In partnership with the EVP office\xe2\x80\x99s Chief of Staff, provide advice and information regarding administrative procedures.
  • Prepare expense reports.
  • Arrange business travel.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

What you bring:
  • Post-secondary background in business studies or equivalent experience at the executive level (at least five (5) years). Other relevant experience will also be considered
  • Excellent computer skills, with a focus on Google Workspace, the MS Office suite and internet search engines
  • Knowledge of SAP and finance or HR systems an asset
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and show initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, manage tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingualism (English and French) essential
Requirements:
  • You are motivated and proactive, with a solutions-focused attitude
  • You are highly-organized and detailed-oriented
  • You work well under pressure
  • You handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • You have superior knowledge of computer applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Business Applications; knowledge of SAP is an asset
  • You have professional tact and diplomacy (essential)
  • You are able and willing to work outside regular office hours as required from time to time
