Job Description

Northback is a Canadian company focused on the development of the Grassy Mountain steelmaking coal project in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta.


We are currently seeking an experienced

Executive Assistant

to join our team in Calgary. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Executive Assistant will play a vital role in providing executive support and ensuring that the Northback Calgary office operates in an efficient and well-organized manner. This role will collaborate with the Blairmore Office Manager to effectively manage overlapping responsibilities and provide backfill coverage as required. Responsibilities include executive administrative assistance, overseeing office administrative functions, event planning and special projects as assigned.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Provides professional executive support for the CEO and other senior leaders Manages executive schedules and email Manages executive expense claims Coordinates travel and accommodations Attends meetings and takes formal minutes as required General office administration duties as required Plans and sets up corporate events Supports special projects as directed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE



Progressive administrative experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience supporting senior leadership in an executive assistant role Must be assertive, comfortable with continuously evolving daily tasks, and able to pivot when necessary Must be comfortable with technology and have strong computer skills Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and MS Teams Event planning experience is an asset Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to interact well with others Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail High ethical standards with a commitment to professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
