The Opportunity
Employment Type: Temporary Full Time 1 FTE (Maternity Leave Coverage with possibility of extension)
Hours of Work: 0800-1600
Wages: $54,709.36-$75,999.75
Reporting to the President and CEO, the executive administrative assistant delivers a wide variety of high-level administrative support. As the executive administrative assistant, you will have proven ability to work independently, screen and prioritize communication, meet deadlines, and have the ability to make decisions by anticipating needs. This role requires coordination of confidential and sensitive internal and external communications, the management of complex events, development of position relationships with various internal and external stakeholders including residents, clients, family members, employees, external organization's leaders, and government officials.
Educational and other Qualifications
Office Administration diploma or equivalent
Work Experience
Five (5) years' experience working as an Executive Assistant
Nonprofit sector administrative/secretarial function experience
Proven experience working with a high degree of independence
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrates a high degree of proficiency working with sensitive and confidential information
Excellent working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
General knowledge of office equipment related to the duties of the position
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal effectively with conflict in a diplomatic and professional manner
Highly proficient with written and oral communication
Able to compile and coordinate data for a variety of complex reports, presentations and oral/written communications
Exhibits open and sincere approach to relating to people by demonstrating respect and compassion for everyone equally
Excellent active listening skills
Occasional work after regular hours in order to meet the demands of the job
Able to multi-task in a constant high energy environment while responding to complex priorities
Capable of balancing office tasks with people responsibilities equally
