*PURPOSE OF POSITION: * The position of EFDM is designed to support the operations of the organization, in close collaboration with the Communications & Development Manager, in the areas of marketing, communication, and fundraising events. The EFDM is an integral part of the Organization\xe2\x80\x99s team. *REPORTS TO: *Communications & Development Manager *QUALIFICATIONS: * a. Minimum of 2 years marketing/event and/or fund development experience, preferably with a non-profit or not-for-profit organization. b. Completion of a minimum 2 years post-secondary education; a combination of education and experience will be considered c. Fundraising database experience (Donor Perfect preferred) d. Experience using online graphic tools (Canva, Adobe) e. Detail oriented, organized and possess excellent time management skills f. High technical acuity and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies g. Self-motivated with the ability to anticipate the needs of the organization where appropriate with critical thinking h. Outgoing with good community relationships and/or the ability to develop same i. Empathetic and supportive of others with the ability to set and maintain boundaries *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * *\xc2\xb7 Fund Development & Events (60%)* Seeks out, researches, and fosters new corporate partnerships for the Organization. Manages and maintains current partnerships. Develops and coordinates third-party fundraisers for the Organization. Develop and maintain positive community relationships with funders, stakeholders, and corporate partners. Coordinate and manage logistics for local, regional, and provincial fundraising Manage and operate within an approved budget for each event Liaise with vendors and suppliers offering service for events Arrange committee meetings with agendas leading up to an event Lead volunteers prior and during event Provide activity reporting following each event \xc2\xb7 *Marketing & Communications (35%)* Daily managing of social media accounts: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter Schedule posts, reply to comments, and create written and visual content Develop media releases for upcoming campaigns; communicate and share the same Perform interviews with local media Schedule video content for upcoming programs Creation and release of regular email blasts to engage our members Updating and maintaining of Organization\xe2\x80\x99s website Creation of content for Organization\xe2\x80\x99s quarterly magazine Ensure that the Organization\xe2\x80\x99s content is always relevant and up to date Communicate regularly with all staff to stay up-to-date and informed Work with Communications & Development Manager to develop campaign and marketing strategies and execute same. Coordinate and maintain donor and member databases and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, generate reports and exports of other collected data as needed. *\xc2\xb7 Students/Volunteers/Contractors (5%)* Host, mentor, and train students during their work experience Complete evaluation and assessments for each student Foster volunteer relationships and support volunteer coordinator with engagement and appreciation activities Provide support and supervision for contracted/occasional staff *\xc2\xb7 General PAA* Support all departments as needed Ability to work comfortably within a team or independently Support all staff with general direction and day to day queries *PERFORMANCE STANDARDS* \xc2\xb7 Plans and prioritizes: Plan activities ahead of time, organize and sets priorities, anticipate resources, flexible to meet the requirements of the task \xc2\xb7 Follow up: Continually be aware of work status, adhere to time schedules, meet commitments \xc2\xb7 Ideas and approaches: Suggest improvements, try new approaches, be willing to experiment, take risks and learn \xc2\xb7 Communication: Good verbal and written skills, understand and follow directions while feeling empowered to offer improvements, take initiative, maintain confidentiality, tact, diplomacy, and respect \xc2\xb7 Collaboration: Share and be open to ideas while focused on objectives \xc2\xb7 Networking: Build relationships with staff/peers, volunteers, and other organizations Job Type: Full-time Salary: $45,000.00-$52,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental care * Disability insurance * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site gym * On-site parking * RRSP match * Vision care Schedule: * Day shift Application deadline: 2023-01-16 Expected start date: 2023-01-30 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00-$52,000.00 per year Benefits:
